A white wedding is a foray into tradition and romance few people
take
A white wedding is a pretty rare occurrence in today’s society.
In fact, fewer and fewer brides and grooms decide they would like
to have one every year, which means that fewer and fewer people
even realize what it means to have a white wedding. While we will
go through what exactly one entails in just a minute, it is important
for people to realize one thing right up front: white wedding is
more than just a Billy Idol song.
A white wedding is the epitome of a traditional wedding. The bride
and groom forego the typical color choices in favor of the simple
white wedding theme, and everything surrounding the wedding harks
back to the very traditional weddings of olden times. The vows at
a white wedding are strictly those written in the religious text,
the bride uses her veil for its intended purpose at a white wedding,
and the guests are expected to come dressed entirely in, you guessed
it, white.
A white wedding is basically the equivalent or the opposite of
a black tie affair. In fact, it is still fairly common to see a
white wedding taking place in the summer or late spring months,
especially somewhere like a country club. There is something about
the clean freshness of a white wedding that is easy to relate to
for just about anyone… it is a shame fewer and fewer people are
interested in having their own white wedding.
