Your wedding budget should never be ignored
The wedding budget is the absolute center of any wedding planning
process. Hey, it can be depressing, but it’s true. What can you
do without a budget? You can’t choose invitations since you don’t
know what you can afford on your budget. You can’t choose a location
for your wedding – you don’t know how much of your budget can be
dedicated to a venue. You can’t even buy a dress without a budget.
Your budget should be the first step in your wedding planning process.
Before you do anything else, sit down with your parents or grandparents
and see exactly how much they want to contribute to your budget.
This will help you figure out how much you need to contribute to
your budget yourself, as well as giving you the first step toward
the rest of your planning.
If your budget ends up being smaller than you anticipated, don’t
worry! You just need to get more creative with your budget. You
can still have those extravagant invitations and favors, you might
just need to make them yourself instead of buying them in order
to fit your budget. By learning how to work within your budget,
you can easily move money around in the budget and allocate more
to a certain thing while scaling back on another. See? Your budget
doesn’t have to be depressing.
