A medieval wedding is incredibly romantic, from the nebulous white frocks worn by the brides to the chivalrous and dashing costumes worn by grooms. Where else but in a medieval wedding can you see a ceremony presided over by kings or knights? Even better, many medieval weddings held at faires are completely planned by the faire committee, so you don’t have to stress about a thing. And that’s just the ceremonial aspect of a medieval wedding!

Medieval weddings’ receptions are often even better, with food and drink galore. The receptions at these weddings are loud, family affairs where everyone dances and nobody is left out of the fun. There is no chance for all of the family drama that goes on at other weddings when you have medieval weddings… there’s no time! Most attendees of medieval weddings would rather be singing, drinking, eating, or dancing than worrying about who said what to whom.
