Bridal shower poems, if you are unfamiliar with the concept, may seem a little odd, out of place, and foreign to people. While it sounds like bridal poems are serious works of penmanship that people may use to comprise unique bridal shower invitations, in fact shower poems are silly little activities the bridesmaids can whip out during the party to tease the bride a bit. Of course, poems can still be used on the invites and more, but the fun of shower poems is really creating them with all of the guests.

Wedding shower poems do not really have a strict structure, so they can take on whatever form you would like them to be. Maybe you have a certain fondness for Mad Libs, in which case you can turn your bridal poems into a Mad Libs activity. Write some silly shower poems or essays with crazy little themes, then go back and black out certain words and replace them with the type of word they are. At the party, call out the types of words missing from your bridal poems and ask the guests to fill in the blanks. When you are finished, re-read the poems to all of the guests… you are absolutely guaranteed a laugh!

Wedding shower poems can also take the form of one of the funniest types of poetry, the limerick. For some great fun with shower poems, have each of your shower guests bring a limerick to the party, then attach them all to a large poster board the bride can bring home. For some really unique bridal shower invitations, come up with two or three bridal poems in the form of limericks and print them right on the invites to start inspiring your guests!
