Bridal gloves can be the perfect accessory… or a perfect mistake

Bridal gloves have been around for quite a long time, being used by everyone from the most cowgirlish of brides to even the most elegant. In fact, gloves are one of the most widely used accessories, mainly because they are so versatile, unlike many other accessories like bridal boots. Some brides use bridal gloves in full-blown cathedral weddings while others wear gloves with more casual ensembles just to give that one little touch of elegance.

Wedding gloves are available in a wide variety of styles to mirror the wide variety of uses, from the shortest, simplest gloves to full-length gloves that reach all the way past the elbow. In choosing your gloves, make sure they really match your gown. It may seem like white is white, but any bride who has been to a full bridal boutique knows that dresses can come in 10 different versions of the same white satin, and gloves are no exception to that.

Also, gloves should never be worn when you already have one or two other unique accessories included in your ensemble. If you are wearing bridal boots, you may want to forego the wedding gloves in favor of something a little less obvious. Likewise, if you have your heart set on gloves, you may want to find an alternative for the bridal boots. Once you incorporate two or three very unique accessories like gloves, your ensemble loses its elegance and instead takes on a caricature feel.
